Lagos State nysc coordinator, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa has urged Prospective Corps Members of the 2022 Batch 'B' Stream I to make use of the Social Media responsibly. She stated this while briefing corps members at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja.
Myschoolnews reports that Mrs Baderinwa said indiscriminate use of the Social media does not portray responsibility and told the corps members instead of posting for trends, they should channel their creativity into things on the Social Media, that would affect their lives positively.
She also emphasized that when in doubt of any situation, they should find out by seeking clarification from concerned persons instead of blowing things up unnecessarily.
Briefing them on electoral matters, the State Coordinator said election has recently become a core service area of the NYSC to the nation. She urged the corps to volunteer for the noble task of transfer of democratic power as the nation prepares for another general elections urging the corps members to take up the role with pride and integrity, and further sensitized them that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will be on camp to brief them about their roles and responsibilities during the important national assignment.
Describing the Orientation Course as one of the four cardinal programmes of the NYSC, she advised the corps members to be disciplined while on camp, respecting all who need to be respected and making use of camp facilities responsibly, not forgetting to give feedbacks to Camp Management.
The briefing exercise of the State Coordinator on camp, is meant to give corps members the needed information to guide them through the duration of the 21-day Course.
