Vocational and Information Technology (IT) training company, Aptech, committing £15 million in scholarship to 5,000 Nigerians for study in University of Massachusetts, London or Dubai.
Senior Vice President and Functional Head Retail International, Kallol Mukherjee, said: “This year, we are awarding £3,000 to 5,000 students. Application has been opened, and we have started approaching students. The scholarship will be awarded from September through October across Nigeria.”
On what the firm hopes to achieve by the gesture, he said: “We intend to see these students give back to Nigeria. They will come back and serve the nation, which has made them successful. We are just enablers.
“We have been dedicated and have played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of countless students, enhancing the vocational and IT training landscape in the country. Last year, we awarded scholarships to 3,000 people. It’s a great feeling to give.”
