Tuition fees for major private universities in Nigeria has been increased from hunfreds of thousand to millions, Bolaji Abdullah the former government official compares the tuition fees of public and private universities.

Pant-Atlantic University, American University of Nigeria and some other private universities in Nigeria increasess their tuition fees in millions.

The tuition fees for most private universities are normally higher than the public universities in Nigeria, However on recent news alot of them has been skyrocketed from hundreds of thousands to the recent millions of naira.

Bolaji Abdullahi, the author of the report and a former government official compares the tuition fees of public and private universities, emphasizing the need for realistic fees to ensure quality education and he recommends granting autonomy to public universities and allowing them to set their own tuition fees.

Some of these private universities are as follow;

1) Pan-Atlantic University which is located in Lagos charges Three million, three hundred and twenty four thousand, two hundred and fifty naira (N3,324,250) for tuition fee.

2) American University of Nigeria which is located in Yola charges Two million, two hundred and twenty thousand naira (N2,220,0000) for tuition fee.

3) Renaissance University which is located at Enugu charges Three million naira (N300,000) for tuition fee.

4) Ajayi Crowther University which is located at Ibadan charges Three million, fifteen thousand naira (N315,000) for tuition fee.

5) Covenant University which is located at Ota charges Nine hundred thousand, thirty seven thousand, five hundred (N937,500) for tuition fee.

6) Baze University which is located at Abuja charges One million, four hundred and ninety seven thousand, three hundred and seventy five naira (N1,497,375) for tuition fee.

7) Afe Babalola University which is located at Ado-Ekiti charges Five hundred and thirty six thousand naira (N536,000) for tuition fee.

8) Renaissance University which is located at Enugu charges Three million naira (N300,000) for tuition fee.
