This department is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that polyvalent Nurses that can stand and compete with Nurses from across the shore in their professional practice are trained and registered by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

• To achieve the above, the Nursing and Midwifery Council Curriculum is properly put into the right perspective as the training of the Students for the three-year period is harnessed and strictly adhered to.
• Supervision of lecturers in ensuring content competence in both Classroom and Demonstration room.
• Ensuring that the Clinical experience is properly and strictly enforced.
• Ethical Standards are also enforced in order to train students to follow and imbibe the culture of the Nursing profession.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: 

1. Interested candidates must have a credit pass in at least five subjects at the GCE/WAEC/NECO at least not more than two sittings.

2. The subjects must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English Language.

3. Candidates are also required to do a Computer Based Test (CBT) and successful candidates will be admitted into the program.
