The following are some extra fees for some departments and are also very important:

  1. The school also has another payment that is compulsory for all students admitted into the department of medicine, it’s an additional sum of N300,000 which the school has dubbed ‘Development Fee’. While it is true that this is not a small amount of money in addition to the N124,000 that is already been requested as school fees from this department, it should be understood that this particular department of medicine needs highly competent teachers, well-equipped laboratories and adequate expenses that is required for the smooth operations of the institution.
  2. Another department in the Enugu Medical University of Science and Technology also requires additional payment to the fees and this is the department of law. You are required to pay an extra N200,000 if you are admitted into this department. The extremely professional nature of the courses taken in this department requires that the management of the institution takes all the measures necessary in ensuring all the facilities in this department are up-to-date because this will assist the department in retaining its value.

 

Enugu State University of Science and Technology Acceptance Fee 2021/2022

The required acceptance fee for those admitted into Enugu State University of Science and Technology changes quite frequently and the new acceptance fee for the 2021/2022 session is N26,000.

 

Enugu State University of Science and Technology Hostel Fee

The hostel/accommodation fee for the Enugu State University of Science and Technology is a sum of 40,000 Naira. It is required that the hotel fee is paid into the hostel bank account before going into the hostels for accommodation.

At the creation of the University, the aim of the administration was to create an institution that would deal in close relation with society and its industry. Above all, Enugu State University of Science and Technology was to serve as a catalyst in the technological advancement of the people, that is why the motto of the reputable university is still “Technology for Service”.

The old Anambra State House of Assembly enacted the law that established the University that was then known as ASUTECH after which the late Prof. Kenneth Dike was appointed as the first President and Chief Executive of the University and the inauguration of the first Provisional Council of the university was held and late Prof. Kenneth led between October 1980 to October 1983. Other reputable Professors held this office after Professor Kenneth’s tenure ended while it was still Anambra including the reputable Professor Chinua Achebe.

After Enugu State was created in the year 1991 and also the effected name change of the institution from the Anambra State University of Technology (ASUTECH) to the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, there was a change in administration. Honourable Justice Aniagolu was appointed as the new Provisional Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council assisted by Professor Julius Onuorah Onah taking the position of the Vice-Chancellor and they were in control of the management of this institution between the year 1992 to the year 1996.
