  • Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto (UDU)

Jamb Subject Combination and Utme Requirement for Common and Islamic law

The subject combination and status of each subject as it relates with common and Islamic law is given below;

  • English Language; Compulsory
  • Any three Arts or Social Science subjects including Arabic or Islamic Studies

The Utme requirements are; Five ‘O’ level credit passes in Arts which must necessarily include English Language and Islamic Studies or Arabic or Social Sciences.

Nature of Jamb Utme Exams

This information is specifically targeted at candidates, who will be writing jamb Utme examinations for the first time,

  • Jamb Utme examination is an examination that qualifies candidates for admission into higher institutions of learning. This includes universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, mono technics, as well as other recognized institutions in Nigeria.
  • The examination is made up of a total number of 250 questions which will be written on four chosen subject be it science or Arts. The total mark obtainable for the exams is 400. One of the four subjects (English Language) has 100 questions and it is compulsory. The rest of the subjects which made up the candidates subject combination have 50 questions each.
  • Jamb Utme test is a computer based test(CBT) this exams is written with the use of a computer device which will be assigned to each student at their designated exams centers on the day of exams.
  • Candidates who want to gain admission into the university this year must endeavor to score a minimum of 200 to be qualified for the next level of admission procedure which is post Utme.
