Institution Offering Forestry in Nigeria

Not many institutions are known to offer forestry. However, the available institutions are;

  • Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi (FUAM)
  • Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA)

FUAM offer this course with options in the following areas;

  • Social and Environmental Forestry
  • Wild Life and Range Management
  • Forest Production and Products.

Candidates who are not satisfied with the institutions mentioned above and would want to apply for this course elsewhere, we advise that such prospective students should visit the school in person to obtain additional information into the availability of the course in that institution.

Admission Requirements

All that is required of jamb candidates is the O’ level requirements for admission. However, the general direct entry requirement for admission into this course is also highlighted here

  • The Direct Entry requirements are; ’A’ level passes or its equivalent in Chemistry and Biology or Agric Science or Zoology or Botany. There are also special consideration for direct entry candidates and this involves the use of ND, HND, and NCE. ETC. These considerations are special because they defer depending on the institution involved.
  • O’ level Requirements are; Five O’ level credit passes in English, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and one of Physics, Economics, Further Mathematics and Statistics.
