Kwara State University, Malete (KWASU) held the 2nd Virtual Conference of the Muhammad Buhari Main Library stating that KWASU remains committed to promoting  exchange of ideas which can improve the cause of humanity.

The 2nd Virtual Conference of the Muhammad Buhari Main Library of Kwara State University, Malete held on Tuesday May 23, 2023 and had the theme "Artificial Intelligence, Digitization, Publishing and Reference Services as Panacea to Library Development in the 21st Century".

The Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh in his welcome address stated that KWASU remained committed to promoting the exchange of ideas which can improve the cause of humanity.

The Keynote was titled "Library Development in the 21st Century" and was delivered by Professor 'Niran Adetoro of Tai Solarin University of Education while Professor Michael Wole Olatokun of the Africa Regional Centre for Information Science, University of Ibadan spoke on "Artificial Intelligence and Library Development".

Maynour Okda, Regional Training and Publishing Relationship Manager of Emerald Publishing spoke on the topic "Publishing    your Research with Ease" while Dr. Wong Woei Fun and K.C. Tang of IES Singapore delivered a talk on "Video Abstracting: The Making and Application for Scholarly Communication" and Dr. Akinniyi Adeleke, Redeemer's University Librarian spoke on "Digitalisation and Reference Services".
