Seed care support foundation, Lagos State University (LASU) and Office of the Special Adviser on Education (OSAE) holds its first scholarship and project launch sensitization in the university.

The Seed Care Foundation, Lagos State University in collaboration with the Office of the Special Adviser on Education (OSAE) on Monday, 26th June 2023, held the *'Train the Teachers'* programme at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, Main Campus, Ojo.

The programme was initiated to train students from the Mother of all Faculties, Faculty of Education to become model teachers across the globe. 

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, while giving her welcome address emphasized on the importance of well-trained teachers and urged the participants to take maximum advantage of the opportunity provided.

She highlighted the need for model teachers who are employable and possess entrepreneurial skills.

The Director of SEED Care and Support Foundation, Mrs. Olanrewaju Oniyitan emphasized on the significance of the training programme in eradicating "learning poverty" and addressing the shortage of teachers in Nigeria. She stated that millions of teachers are needed at both the primary and secondary levels to ensure quality education for all.

Head of Clients' Experience of the 1 Million Teachers Initiative, Mr. Arinze Ejiefor outlined the 12 steps involved in the training programme. He stressed the importance of having the heart of a teacher to effectively impact knowledge.

The Coordinator of the Programme, Prof. Olushola Oladipupo closed the event by encouraging the participating students to approach the programme with seriousness and dedication. She expressed her gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, sponsors, and members of the Faculty of Education for their support.

Overall, the Sensitization programme is aimed to equip aspiring teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge to become model teachers who can make a significant impact on education in Nigeria.
