Members of International society of Neeurosciences visits FUTA for a workshop aimed at providing learning and experience.

Members of the International Society of Neurosciences (ISN) who were in FUTA for a workshop aimed at providing learning and experience in all areas of neurosciences for students took time out to pay a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor , Professor Adenike Oladiji ,on Monday , August 28,2023.

An Associate Professor from the Department of Biochemistry and a member of the team, Dr Stephen Adefage said that the International Society of Neurosciences is body that enhances research in the area of neurochemistry and all areas of neurosciences. He also said that the society aims at providing training and experience in neuroscience to students and youths, which is why he invited eminent Professors and resource persons from the society for the workshop in order to train the youths adding that the students will learn a lot from the workshop and the members of the society

Welcoming the team, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Oladiji appreciated the members of ISN for taking out time out of their busy schedule to host a workshop program for the students for the purpose of training and developing the youths of the institution.

  The Vice Chancellor stated that in FUTA emphasis is on developing and training the next generation of leaders and that the workshop was an opportunity to learn and gain experience. She was optimistic that the workshop would provide an avenue to proffering solutions and recommendations on how they can improve intellectual discourse in neuroscience.

 Professor Victor Owoyele from the University of Ilorin, Professor James Olopade, University of Ibadan, and Dr. Viviane Ande University of Yaoundé, Cameroon were part of the ISN delegation to FUTA .
