Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun Bursar, Dr Olarewaju Oyedeji renewed its relationship with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) after being blacklisted.

Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun Bursar, Dr Olarewaju Oyedeji renewed its relationship with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) after being blacklisted.

According to Vanguard in the bursar's office inside the school campus on Friday, Oyedeji stated that the college was blacklisted following its failure in going through with the 2013 Amphitheater project in the school after an investment of about N400 million by the Fund.

The Bursar noted that the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) was invited to intervene after all efforts to recover the embezzled money proved abortive.

He added that the intervention led to the recovery of about N100 million. A mechanism was put in place, to invite everyone involved, and they talked amicably but it was not yielding results, hence, the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC were invited to intervene. Months after monies were recovered.

The bursar however noted that the support from the management of the college helped in ridding the school of corruption, despite the resistance from the beneficiaries of the anomaly.
