University of Lagos (UNILAG) D. K. Olukoya Central Research and Reference Laboratories is open and accessible for visitations.

The D. K. Olukoya Central Research and Reference Laboratories, University of Lagos is open and accessible for top-notch, quality-assured research.

The facility which is located besides the National Centre for Energy Efficiency and Conservation (NCEEC) building, opposite the Faculty of Engineering Workshops boasts of state-of-the-art equipment. The Laboratories’ molecular biology with sequencing capabilities; new chemical/petroleum product assessment platform and expanded material testing equipment are on ground to add value to researches.

It has highly functional spectrophotometers including a newly installed GC-MS-MS. Other equipment such as MiSeq Sequence; PCR with gel documentation system; ELISA Reader; NMR, MPAES, AAS, several mass specs; GC-MS-MS, GC-MS, HPLC, DFID; PRESSER Machine etcetera are also available.

The facility is in the final ISO 17025:2017 standards assessment phase and its major equipment are scheduled for calibration to better serve researchers with globally competitive laboratory analyses.

Members of faculty, students and the general public are enjoined to visit the facility, and explore value-added research experience. Its online ordering system, for seamless test ordering and results retrieval, will be unveiled soon.
