Yabatech holds 2022/2023 Train-the-Trainer orientation program for Deans of Schools, Heads of Departments, Class Advisers, and Student Representatives. 

The Students Affairs Unit recently organized a Train-the-Trainer Orientation Program for Deans of Schools, Heads of Departments, Class Advisers, and Student Representatives. The event which took place at the Yusuf Grillo Art Auditorium was graced by resource persons both from within and outside the college.

 In his opening remarks, the host of the event, Dean, Student Affairs, TPL. Tunji Balogun appreciated the Rector and Management for providing the resources used in organizing the program. He noted that this year‘s program was different from the previous years. 

He said, “For this year’s program, we invited the Deans, HoDs, Class Advisers, and Student Representatives. We want them to take back to the departments and students what they learn here”.

In his remarks, the Rector, Dr. Engr Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul who was represented by the Acting Deputy Rector (Academics), Dr. Ismaila Badmus praised the Dean, of Student Affairs for the initiative. He urged the participants to be attentive to the lecture 

“As participants for the program, I advise you to pay key attention to what you have been taught so that at the end of the day you can cascade what you have learned to the school and department level”

The resource persons, one after the other were invited to present their lectures to the audience.

The Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Sarah Oketunji in her lecture titled the use of the Library charged the students on the benefit of using the Library alongside the dos and don'ts of the Library.

Other resource persons included Mr. Oluwakemi Ajisebutu, CEO of AYP Consulting who spoke on Open Distance and Flexible e-Learning, The Dean, of Student Affairs gave a talk on the act of taking advantage of the Counselling Section of the unit; Director IQA, Dr. Kunle Adeyemi gave a lecture on Striving for Excellence; Ag Director Medical Services, Dr. Nubi spoke on Mental Health Management and Student Life Balance; Assistant Superintendent of Police Bose Ogbonna who represented the Divisional Police Officer of Sabo Police Division gave several security tips to participants.

Other dignitaries who graced the event included the Acting Registrar, Mr. Peter Oyebanji, Mr. Sola Dada who represented the Bursar, and Mr. Joe Ejiofor, the College Public Relations Officer among others.
