The Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has commenced the sale of Post-UTME application forms for admission into its National Diploma (ND) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The institution invited suitably qualified candidates to apply, while also providing details of its Higher National Diploma (HND) admission requirements and application process.
National Diploma (ND) Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission into the National Diploma programmes must:
- Score a minimum of 100 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Possess at least five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or their equivalent.
- Pay a Post-UTME screening fee of ₦2,000.

How to Apply for ND Admission
Applicants are required to:
- Visit the admission portal.
- Create an account using a valid email address and phone number.
- Complete the online application form accurately.
- Upload the required documents.
- Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee online.
- Submit the application and print the acknowledgement slip.
Higher National Diploma (HND) Admission Requirements
The polytechnic also announced that applications are open for its HND programmes.
Applicants must:
- Pay an application fee of ₦10,000.
- Possess five credit passes in SSCE (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB).
- Hold at least a Lower Credit in a relevant National Diploma from an NBTE-accredited institution.
- Have completed one year of post-ND industrial training. Candidates who graduated with a Pass grade in ND must possess at least two years of post-ND industrial work experience.
How to Apply for HND Admission
Applicants are required to:
- Complete the HND application form through the admission portal.
- Upload all required documents.
- Pay the ₦10,000 application fee online.
- Submit the application and print the acknowledgement slip.
Required Documents
Applicants are expected to provide the following:
- One-year industrial attachment letter (for HND applicants).
- Official ND transcript or Statement of Result. Applicants awaiting their transcript may submit a photocopy of the transcript request receipt.
- Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
- Recent passport photograph.
