The Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria has carried out an accreditation visit to the Department of Estate Management at University of Delta Agbor, as part of its statutory mandate to ensure compliance with professional training standards.
The exercise, held on March 25, 2026, was led by James Effiong, who stated that the assessment was aimed at verifying whether the university meets the board’s benchmarks for producing competent estate management professionals. He emphasised that the process would rigorously evaluate facilities, staffing, and academic delivery.
During a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Stella Chiemeke, the team reiterated its commitment to upholding industry standards, describing the exercise as critical to maintaining professional integrity in the sector.

Chiemeke, in her response, signalled the institution’s readiness for scrutiny, pointing to recent investments in infrastructure and academic resources designed to strengthen the department. She also acknowledged the board’s prior support, particularly the donation of academic materials to aid teaching and learning.
Senior university officials present included Deputy Vice-Chancellor Patrick Ijeh, Registrar Richmond Omagbemi, Bursar Sunny Ikeogwu, and University Librarian Vera Okonoko, alongside faculty and departmental leadership.
The accreditation team subsequently toured key facilities, including the university library and the Owa-Alero campus, conducting on-site inspections of infrastructure, staffing capacity, and learning resources as part of the evaluation process.
