Federal University of Lafia Set to Host 14th Matriculation Ceremony for 2025/2026 Session

 The Management of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has finalized arrangements for its 14th Matriculation Ceremony, scheduled to hold today, Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

The ceremony, which formally inducts newly admitted undergraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session, will take place at the University’s Sports Complex, Permanent Site Campus, Lafia, starting at 10:00 AM prompt.

According to an official memorandum signed by the Deputy Registrar (Academic Affairs), Mustapha Hanafi-Idiaro, on behalf of the Registrar, the academic procession is scheduled to commence at 8:00 AM. The University has emphasized that only students in their official matriculation gowns will be permitted to participate in the procession and the formal ceremony.

In a move to support the new intake, the University confirmed that the issuance of academic gowns to Faculty Officers commenced on Friday, February 13, 2026. Management further clarified that these gowns are being provided at no cost to the new students.

The University Community, including staff, parents, and guardians, are expected to be seated early to witness this significant milestone in the students' academic journey. The Management has extended its best wishes to all matriculants for a successful and memorable ceremony.
