FedPoly Monguno Rector Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar Pays Courtesy Visit to Engr. Bukar Talba, Seeks His Intervention

The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Monguno, Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar, earlier today led the management team of the polytechnic on a courtesy visit to the Honourable Member representing Monguno, Marte and Nganzai Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Engr. Bukar Talba, at his residence in Maiduguri.

The visit formed part of the Rector's broader efforts to deepen relationships with key stakeholders and mobilise greater support towards the advancement of Federal Polytechnic Monguno.

During the visit, the Rector, Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar, highlighted some of the pressing needs confronting the institution and appealed for the intervention of the Honourable Member, particularly in the areas of road networks and drainage infrastructure.

Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar explained that the inadequate road infrastructure poses significant challenges to the movement of students and staff especially during the raining season.

The Rector also expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, Engr. Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, mni, CON, FNSE, Executive Governor of Borno State, for his tremendous contributions towards the development of Federal Polytechnic Monguno.

He acknowledged that the institution has benefited greatly from the Governor's interventions and prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to strengthen His Excellency and enable him to sustain his contributions to the Polytechnic and Borno State at large.

In his response, Engr. Bukar Talba commended the management team for identifying with him and assured the Rector of his full commitment and support towards addressing the institution's priority needs and advancing its development.

He asked the Rector to provide details of the areas requiring intervention for due consideration and appropriate action.

Engr. Talba described Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar as a straightforward person, noting that they share similar principles and values.

He expressed confidence in the Rector's capacity and leadership ability, while urging the management team and other stakeholders to give him the maximum support and cooperation to move the institution forward.

The Rector was accompanied by the Registrar, Mala Garba Hussaini; Bursar, Aminu Isa J. Cham; Librarian, Zainab Usman Mahmood; and Students Affairs Officer, Umar Alhaji Goni.
