Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has appointed Associate Professor Usman Alhaji Yusuf of the Department of Sociology as the Acting Director of its Institute of Governance and Development Studies (IGDS).

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), has appointed Associate Professor Usman Alhaji Yusuf of the Department of Sociology as the Acting Director of its Institute of Governance and Development Studies (IGDS).

The appointment, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, takes effect from September 25, 2026, and will run for an initial one-year period until September 24, 2027.

In a letter conveying the appointment, the University Registrar, Dr. Bala I. Ahmed II, MNIM, FCAI, FCIM, stated that the appointment was made with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor.

In his new role, Associate Professor Usman is expected to provide effective administrative and academic leadership aimed at strengthening the Institute and further enhancing the university’s academic policies and programmes.

He will report directly to the Vice-Chancellor in the discharge of his responsibilities.
