Our Door Will Always Be Open to NAISET – UNILORIN VC

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has assured the Nigerian Army Institute of Science, Education and Technology, NAISET, Sobi, Ilorin, of the University’s readiness to sustain and strengthen its collaboration with the institution.

The Vice Chancellor gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by the management of NAISET to his office at the University Main Campus.

Prof. Egbewole described the existing relationship between UNILORIN and NAISET as strategic and mutually beneficial, noting that the partnership has continued to yield positive outcomes in academic development, research and capacity building.

“Our door will always be open to NAISET,” the Vice Chancellor stated. “We are committed to deepening this collaboration because it aligns with our mandate of expanding access to quality education and contributing to national development.”

He added that the University is willing to explore more areas of cooperation with NAISET, particularly in joint research, staff exchange, student training, and sharing of academic resources and facilities.

The Vice Chancellor commended NAISET for its contributions to science, education and technology training in the country, and pledged UNILORIN’s support in helping the Institute achieve its objectives.

Earlier, the leader of the NAISET delegation expressed appreciation to the University of Ilorin for its continuous support and guidance since the establishment of the Institute. 

He noted that the partnership with UNILORIN has been instrumental to the academic growth of NAISET and requested further collaboration in programme development, accreditation and staff training.

The visit ended with both institutions reaffirming their commitment to work together to enhance educational standards and produce graduates who can contribute meaningfully to national security and socio-economic development.
