Retired Professor Shokunbi and Siblings Donate 10KVA Solar Inverter System to UCH Ibadan

Prof. Wuraola Shokunbi (RTD) and her siblings donated a 10KVA Solar inverter system to power the cold centrifuge for blood components production and coagulometer donated by Novo Nordisk Pharmaceutical company in the department of Haematology, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, on Friday, 19 of June 2026. The Haematology consultants in the department also provided additional 6KVA to support staff welfare.

According to Prof. Wuraola Shokunbi, the donation was made in loving memory of their late mother, Chief Racheal Yelola Olaofe, Alaga Women's Guild of St. Andrews Church, Are- Ekiti.

The Chief Medical Director ,Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo appreciated the thoughtfulness and kind gesture of the Shokunbi family. He noted that the donation will contribute significantly to effective health care service delivery in the Haematology department and enhance patient care across UCH.
