The Faculty of Engineering, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has announced its maiden Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony for Engineering graduates.
The event is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 21 July 2026, at the CEC, Niger Hall, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The ceremony marks a significant milestone for the faculty as it formally inducts its engineering graduates into the profession.
The Chairman of the event is Engr. Professor Clifford Ugochukwu Nwoji, FNSE.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Professor Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, will serve as the Chief Host, while the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Engr. Professor Ikechukwu Christian Ike-Eze, is the Host.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nsukka Branch, Engr. Dr. Gerald U. Akubue, will serve as Co-Host.
Special dignitaries expected at the ceremony include:
- Engr. Professor Sadiq Zubair Abubakar, President, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)
- Engr. Professor O. A. U. Uche, Registrar, Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)
- Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu, President, Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE)
The Faculty of Engineering has invited members of the university community, engineering professionals and the general public to attend the maiden induction and oath-taking ceremony.
