81-Year-Old Kano Woman Completes Reading of Holy Qur’an After Nearly Four Decades

Hajiya Sa’adatu Nuhu Waziri, an 81-year-old woman from Kano, has completed reading the Holy Qur’an after dedicating nearly four decades to its study.

The Qur’an completion ceremony was held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in Tudun Wazirchi, Kano, where her children and grandchildren gathered to celebrate the remarkable milestone with her.

Her journey, spanning approximately 30 to 40 years of Qur’anic reading, is a testament to patience, consistency and devotion to the Qur’an.

At an age when many might consider such a journey difficult, Hajiya Sa’adatu has shown that it is never too late to pursue a noble goal.
