Admiralty University of Nigeria Appoints Navy Captain (Prof.) Isah Rambo Saidu as Deputy Vice-Chancellor

The Management of Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Navy Captain (Professor) Isah Rambo Saidu as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor, effective February 9, 2026.

Professor Saidu, a distinguished authority in Cyber Security, succeeds Rear Admiral MM Abdullahi, who transitioned from the role on January 31, 2026.

The new Deputy Vice-Chancellor was received at the Asaba International Airport by a high-level university delegation led by the Registrar, Cdr. Isaac M. Mankilik (Rtd). Upon his arrival on campus, Professor Saidu met with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Christopher Bankole Ndubuisi Ogbogbo, and the senior management team. A formal reception and briefing were held in his honor on February 11, 2026, at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.

Navy Captain Saidu joins ADUN with a formidable background that bridges elite military command and advanced academia. A PhD holder in Computer Science, his career is marked by significant leadership roles, including:

Command Appointments: Commanding Officer of the Nigerian Navy Simulation Center and Duty Officer at the Headquarters Eastern Naval Command.

Instructional Excellence: Officer in Charge of the Computer Laboratory at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji.

His appointment is expected to strengthen the university’s administrative capacity and further solidify its position as a premier institution for cyber security and defense-related education in Africa.
