In a strategic move to strengthen healthcare delivery on campus, the Vice-Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Kano, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai (Sarkin Kudun Gaya), on Thursday, 8th January 2026, conducted an inspection of the ongoing expansion of the University Clinic.

In a strategic move to strengthen healthcare delivery on campus, the Vice-Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Kano, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai (Sarkin Kudun Gaya), on Thursday, 8th January 2026, conducted an inspection of the ongoing expansion of the University Clinic.

The project aims to broaden the range and quality of medical services available to students, staff, and their families.

The expansion will introduce three new specialty services, including maternity and pediatric units, alongside a fully equipped surgical theatre for both major and minor procedures. The clinic redesign also includes partitioned male and female wards, upgraded patient rooms, additional offices, storage spaces, and nursing stations to improve efficiency and patient care.

Significantly, the maternity unit will operate as an independent wing, ensuring greater privacy and specialized care for staff families, separate from student services.

The expansion is part of a broader renovation effort supported by Justice Adeniyi Raji, SAN, who has sponsored building upgrades and extensions to facilitate improved healthcare delivery. The Environmental Unit was temporarily relocated to accommodate the renovations.

During the inspection, the Director of University Health Services, Dr. Mohammed Shehu, alongside the management team and clinical staff, commended the Vice-Chancellor’s commitment to reforming campus healthcare and enhancing medical service standards.

The project underscores ADUSTECH’s ongoing efforts to provide modern, patient-focused healthcare infrastructure, reflecting the University’s dedication to the wellbeing of its community.
