The Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences has announced the commencement of applications for admission into its ND/HND Nursing Sciences Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The Akwa Ibom State College of Nursing Sciences has announced the commencement of applications for admission into its ND/HND Nursing Sciences Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to the College, only candidates who meet the outlined requirements will be eligible to apply. Applicants must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2025 JAMB UTME and chosen Nursing Sciences as their course of study, with one of the College’s campuses (Anua, Eket, Ikot Ekpene, Ituk Mbang, or Oron) listed as their first or second choice.

In addition, candidates must possess at least five credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics obtained from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings. NABTEB results cannot be combined with those of other examination bodies. Other required documents include First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC), Certificate of Origin, Birth Certificate, and Change of Name (if applicable).

The College emphasized that all applicants must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025, and must register with their personal email address and phone number. Only candidates who successfully complete the application process and meet the requirements will be contacted via email.

For the screening exercise, candidates are required to print their acknowledgement/screening test slip, which will serve as evidence of successful registration and payment. Parents, guardians, and uninvited security agents will not be allowed at the screening venues.

The College also issued a disclaimer warning applicants not to make payments to individuals or third parties claiming to represent the institution. All payments and applications must be completed only through the official College portal.

Admission decisions will be strictly merit-based. Successful candidates will receive official emails with instructions on completing their registration, while unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted further.
