Borno Foreign Scholarship Beneficiaries Present Master’s Certificates to UNIMAID VC
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Muhammed Laminu Mele, has received members of staff of the University who recently completed their master’s degree programmes in India under the Borno State Government Foreign Scholarship Scheme.
The beneficiaries, under the aegis of the Integral University Borno State Students Association, India, led by Mr. Mohammad Mai Shanu, paid a thank-you visit to the Vice-Chancellor and presented their certificates to him.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr. Mai Shanu said the visit was to express appreciation to the University management for providing the opportunity and support to benefit from the scholarship programme.
Responding, Professor Mele welcomed the group and congratulated them on the successful completion of their academic programmes. He urged them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired to their professional responsibilities and to contribute to the development of their communities.

The Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting staff development at all levels, noting that investing in the capacity of its staff remains vital to the continuous growth and development of the institution.
The visit featured the presentation of a token of appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor by the beneficiaries in recognition of his support for their academic development.
