Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila Signs MoU with Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin to Strengthen Academic Collaboration
Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, in a move aimed at strengthening academic excellence, institutional collaboration and knowledge exchange.
The MoU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Prof. Abdulhadi Sale Kumurya, and the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Prof. Lateef Folorunsho Oladimeji. The agreement reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing higher education and creating greater opportunities for their university communities.
The partnership is designed to promote collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including teaching and learning, research and innovation, staff and student development, academic exchange, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and other initiatives aimed at improving the quality and impact of higher education.
The signing represents an important milestone in the development of strategic partnerships between Nigerian universities. It demonstrates the commitment of both institutions to harnessing their complementary strengths for the benefit of students, staff, researchers and society at large.

Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila expressed appreciation to the leadership and management of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, under the leadership of Prof. Lateef Folorunsho Oladimeji, for the partnership. The University said it looks forward to a productive, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship.
Under the leadership of Prof. Abdulhadi Sale Kumurya, Al-Istiqama University said it remains committed to building strategic partnerships that promote academic excellence, research, innovation, professionalism and sustainable institutional development.
The University added that the collaboration is part of ongoing efforts to build stronger universities and shape a brighter future for higher education in Nigeria.
