FCE Obudu Council and Management Affairs Unit Holds Sent-Forth Ceremony in Honour of Mr. Ayashlire Atokabe
The Council and Management Affairs Unit of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Obudu, under the leadership of Alhaji Abubakar Adamu, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, held a heartfelt sent-forth ceremony in honour of Mr. Ayashlire Atokabe, who retired from active service after years of dedicated commitment and meritorious contributions to the College.
The Council and Management Affairs Unit of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Obudu, under the leadership of Alhaji Abubakar Adamu, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, held a heartfelt sent-forth ceremony in honour of Mr. Ayashlire Atokabe, who retired from active service after years of dedicated commitment and meritorious contributions to the College.

The event, held at the Council and Management Affairs Unit Office, brought together staff members, colleagues, and friends to celebrate a man whose loyalty and diligence left enduring footprints within the unit and across the institution.
The ceremony opened with a prayer led by Mr. Greg Utsu, who expressed gratitude to God for His faithfulness and for allowing all present to share in the joyous occasion. He prayed for continued blessings, long life, and good health for the celebrant and everyone in attendance.
In his opening remarks, Alhaji Abubakar Adamu, Head of the Council and Management Affairs Unit, welcomed guests warmly and expressed deep appreciation to God for granting the celebrant the privilege of retiring in good health. He described Mr. Atokabe as a dependable and exemplary officer who demonstrated integrity, humility, and commitment throughout his service to the College.

“It is indeed a blessing to work and retire in good health,” Alhaji Adamu said. “We thank God for keeping our dear colleague alive and strong to witness this special day, and we pray that the same grace will be extended to every one of us.”
The event featured touching tributes and reflections from colleagues who recounted fond memories of working with Mr. Atokabe. Many described him as a mentor, team player, and humble leader whose positive attitude inspired others and fostered unity within the unit.

As part of the celebration, a token of appreciation was presented to the celebrant by the unit in recognition of his outstanding service and lasting contributions to the growth of the College.
