Federal Polytechnic Oko Graduates Honored with NYSC Presidential Award
Two outstanding graduates of Federal Polytechnic Oko have been recognized for their exceptional service during their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year. Miss Okeke Nwakaego Maria from the Mass Communication Department and Mr. Ikwor Chinedu Chima from the Microbiology Department received the President's NYSC Honours Award from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The ceremony, held on July 29, 2025, at the Presidential Villa, brought together top government officials, NYSC leadership, dignitaries, and family members of the awardees. A total of 210 ex-corp members were honored for their outstanding contributions.
In his address, President Tinubu, represented by Dr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, congratulated the awardees and expressed appreciation for their selfless service. He emphasized the government's commitment to empowering Nigerian youths and nurturing their talents. The President also announced incentives for the awardees.
Miss Okeke Nwakaego Maria served at Kebbi Television Service, Kebbi State, while Mr. Ikwor Chinedu Chima served at Ansural Islam Secondary School, Baruten LGA, Kwara State. Their dedication and excellence embody the values of Federal Polytechnic Oko, which is known for resilience, hard work, creativity, and service.
