FedPoly Monguno Rector, Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar, Completes 8-Day Leadership Training in Singapore

The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Monguno, Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar, has been presented with a certificate of completion at the end of an 8-day intensive Leadership Training Workshop organised for heads of Technical and Vocational Education and Training, TVET, institutions.

The certificate was presented to the Rector by Her Excellency Mrs. Francisca Kemi Omayuli, Nigerian High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, at the conclusion of the high-level programme on Friday, 21st August 2026. The workshop was hosted by the prestigious Institute of Technical Education, ITE, in Singapore.

The workshop afforded Nigerian TVET leaders the opportunity to observe Singapore's world-class technical education system and to explore cutting-edge approaches to institutional leadership and management. 

It also served as a forum for exchanging experiences, institutional challenges and identifying best practices that could be adapted to enhance TVET delivery in Nigeria. 

The international exposure is anticipated to deepen participants' understanding of contemporary TVET administration and support the development of more agile and forward-looking technical institutions in the country. 

The insights and global best practices gained by the Rector, Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar, are expected to drive institutional growth, foster innovation, strengthen staff development and improve overall service delivery at the Federal Polytechnic Monguno.
