The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Monguno, Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar has expressed satisfaction with the peaceful and orderly conduct of the ongoing first semester examinations.
The Rector made the remarks on Tuesday 23rd June, 2026 while observing the conduct of the exercise and assessing the overall arrangements put in place to ensure a smooth and conducive examination environment.

He commended the examinations and timetable coordinator, Jibril Ali Zangina alongside invigilators and other staff involved in organizing and supervising the examinations.
The Rector also interacted with students at the various examination venues, making inquiries about the conduct of the examinations and their overall experience.
He encouraged them to remain focused, diligent and committed to their studies, stressing the importance of academic excellence and personal integrity.
Following the second round of inspection on Wednesday 24th June, 2026, the Rector convened a strategic meeting with the Director of Academic Planning, Examination and Timetable Coordinator as well as Head of Departments to evaluate the examination process, receive feedback and identify solutions to challenges encountered.
During the meeting, Dr. Alhaji Umar Bukar directed the Examinations and Timetable Coordinator to make a adequate provisions for an uninterrupted power supply across all examination halls during future examinations in order to provide a more conducive environment for students and ensure the smooth conduct of examination activities.
Earlier on Tuesday 23rd June, 2026, the Rector, accompanied by the Deputy Rector, Musa Mohammed Grandawa and the Registrar, Mala Garba Hussaini paid a courtesy visit to the Commanding Officer of Sector 3, Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Monguno.
The visit focused on strengthening collaboration between the Polytechnic and the Nigerian Army with discussions centred on peace, security and educational development in the area.
