The university stated that the registration exercise began on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
Eligibility
The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:
- Candidates who selected FUHSI as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained the minimum required score for their chosen course.
- Candidates who did not initially choose FUHSI as their first-choice institution but are willing to change to the university through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

The university noted that candidates seeking admission into Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science and Doctor of Physiotherapy must possess five credit passes in relevant O'Level subjects obtained at one sitting.
Direct Entry Requirements
Direct Entry candidates applying for MBBS or Nursing Science must possess a minimum of a Second Class Upper Division degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university or acceptable A'Level qualifications from recognised examination bodies.

The university also warned applicants not to make payments through agents or private bank accounts. According to FUHSI, all admission-related payments must be made only through approved university channels, while candidates are advised to disregard and report anyone demanding payment on behalf of the institution.
