The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) received a delegation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on November 13, 2025, for an accreditation assessment of the University’s proposed Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme.

The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) received a delegation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) on November 13, 2025, for an accreditation assessment of the University’s proposed Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme.

The visit is a crucial step towards the launch of the MBA programme and focused on evaluating FUNAAB’s preparedness and compliance with national academic standards set by the NUC.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Babatunde Kehinde, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development), Prof. Olawale Dairo, welcomed the accreditation team and extended warm greetings to the Team Lead, Prof. Bello Bala. He emphasised the University’s commitment to transparency, noting, “At FUNAAB, we do not do window dressing. We have always been open and honest with NUC teams in our engagements,” and assured the delegation that their assessment would reflect the University’s true readiness for the programme.

In his remarks, Prof. Bello Bala commended FUNAAB for its meticulous preparations and hospitality. He stressed that the purpose of the visit was constructive, aimed at ensuring quality assurance, exchanging ideas, and offering recommendations to strengthen the University’s academic offerings, rather than being punitive.

The meeting was attended by key University officials including the University Librarian, Prof. Abayomi Owolabi; Deputy Registrar I, Vice-Chancellor’s Office, Mr. Moses Ayanda; Dean, College of Entrepreneurial and Development Studies (COLENDS), Prof. Olabisi Jayeola; Director, Directorate of Academic Planning (DAP), Prof. Olajide Sogunle; Director, Directorate of Technologists and Technical Staff (DITTECS), Dr. Wunmi Abimbola-Okunneye; Head, Department of Business Administration, Prof. Abiodun Joachim; and Coordinator, MBA Programme, Dr. Anthony Oshadare.

The NUC Accreditation Team, led by Prof. Bello Bala, included Prof. Dibua Chijioke and Mrs. Priscilla Okojie, who collectively undertook a detailed evaluation of the proposed MBA programme.
