IBB University Lapai Mourns as Retired Academic, Dr. Liman Usman Awaisu Boku, Passes Away

The Council, Senate, and Management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai, have officially announced the passing of Dr. Liman Usman Awaisu Boku, a distinguished scholar and former staff member of the institution.

Dr. Boku was a prominent academic in the Department of Animal Production within the Faculty of Agriculture. He served the university with dedication until his retirement in 2025.

In a statement released by the Deputy Registrar and Head of Information, Baba Akote, the University management described the late Dr. Boku as a hardworking and committed academic whose contributions to the growth and development of the institution remain immeasurable.

“The University community is deeply saddened by this irreparable loss. Dr. Boku was an integral part of our academic success, and his legacy within the Faculty of Agriculture will be long remembered,” the statement noted.
