Jubilation at Federal Polytechnic, Oko As Rector Presents Five Brand-New Utility Vehicles to Principal Officers

There was jubilation at Federal Polytechnic, Oko, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, as a significant milestone was recorded in the history of the institution with the presentation of five brand-new utility vehicles attached to the offices of the Polytechnic’s Principal Officers.

The historic event took place at about 01:02 p.m. in front of Administration Block I, popularly known as Aso Rock, where the five gleaming new vehicles were parked in readiness for the presentation.

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, who presided over the ceremony, assembled the Principal Officers and formally handed over the keys of the utility vehicles attached to each of their offices.

The beneficiaries of the new utility vehicles are the Deputy Rector, Administration, Venerable Dr. Ferguson Ezeokafor; Deputy Rector, Academic, Dr. Nkiruka Akabuike; Registrar, Mr. Akeem Adeleke Ayola; Polytechnic Librarian, Dr. Nwabu Ezemba; and Bursar, Mr. Jasper Anunike.

Speaking during the brief ceremony, the Rector described the provision of the utility vehicles as part of her administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for the Principal Officers to effectively discharge their responsibilities and contribute to the continued transformation of the Polytechnic.

Dr. Awuzie thereafter prayed for the beneficiaries, asking God to guide, protect and grant them wisdom as they use the vehicles in the service of the Polytechnic and humanity.

The Principal Officers, in separate remarks, expressed their profound joy and appreciation to the Rector for the gesture. They commended her visionary leadership and commitment to institutional development, noting that the provision of brand-new utility vehicles attached to the offices of all the Principal Officers represented a remarkable development in the history of Federal Polytechnic, Oko.
