KWASU Appoints Dr. Ibrahim Ogirima Salawu as Acting Director of the Centre for Politics and Corporate Governance

Kwara State University (KWASU) Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, has appointed Dr. Ibrahim Ogirima Salawu as Acting Director of the Centre for Politics and Corporate Governance, effective immediately.

The appointment, which will last for a year, was announced in a letter signed by the Registrar on November 18, 2025.

Dr. Salawu, an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Governance, brings expertise in political institutions, governance, and public policy to his new role. He has been serving as Sub-Dean of KWASU's School of Postgraduate Studies since March 2024.

A Ph.D. holder from the International Islamic University, Malaysia (2016), Dr. Salawu is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria and a member of several professional associations, including the American Political Science Association, Canadian Political Science Association, and Nigerian Political Science Association .
