A young Nigerian woman has taken to social media to share her joy and gratitude after successfully completing her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program — a milestone she says no one in her family had previously reached. 

In a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), user @AriesSpicies revealed that she is the first person on both her mother’s and father’s side to finish the one-year national service. She described the achievement as the breaking of a “generational curse.”

“It has happened — broke a generation curse yesterday. I completed my NYSC service, and I’m the first to do it in my mom and dad’s side of the family. Thank you, Lord!!!,” she wrote, celebrating the moment with a smiling emoji.
