NSUK VC, Prof. Liman, Commiserates with Prof. Dakare over Wife’s Passing

The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has commiserated with Professor Dakare Rabo Mavala of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, over the passing of his wife, Mrs. Laraba Rabo Dakare.

The Vice-Chancellor, on Friday, September 25, 2026, was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Professor Muhammad Maikano Ari, who led a delegation of the University Management on a condolence visit to the bereaved family.

Mrs. Laraba Rabo Dakare passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026.

During the visit, Professor Ari conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the Vice-Chancellor and the entire University Management, describing the deceased as a hardworking and dedicated staff member who served the University community diligently.

He prayed to Almighty God to grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and grant the deceased eternal rest.

In a similar gesture, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Linkages, K’tso Nghargbu, offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the deceased and asked God to guide, protect and bless her children while granting the family the grace to overcome the painful loss.

Responding on behalf of the family, Professor Dakare Rabo Mavala expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and the University Management for identifying with the family during the difficult period.

He described his late wife as a friend, supportive partner and devoted mother who dedicated her life to the service of her family and the University community.

The condolence visit underscores the University's concern for the welfare of its staff and its commitment to standing with members of the University community in moments of grief.
