Osun State Polytechnic Iree Announces Full Schedule for 8th Combined Convocation Ceremony

Osun State Polytechnic has officially unveiled the programme of events for its 8th combined convocation ceremony, scheduled to culminate on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

According to a statement issued by the Registrar, Mr. Abiodun Oloyede, the convocation activities will run across several days, reflecting a structured blend of academic, ceremonial, and social engagements.

Proceedings will begin with a pre-convocation press conference on Friday, March 20, to be addressed by the Rector, Comrade Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi, at the institution’s ETF Hall. The same day will also feature a special Jumat service at the campus mosque.

On Tuesday, March 24, the institution will host a novelty football match between staff and members of the alumni association, setting a relaxed tone ahead of the academic highlight.

The convocation lecture is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, and will be delivered by Yakibi Ayodele Afolabi of Federal University Oye-Ekiti. The session will be chaired by Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu of University of Ilesa. A cocktail party hosted by the Rector will follow later that evening at the Staff Club.

The grand finale will take place on Thursday, March 26, at the institution’s pavilion, where diplomas, certificates, and prizes will be formally awarded to graduands.

Graduating students have been directed to pay a ₦5,000 convocation fee at the Bursary Department and proceed to the Academic Affairs Unit for collection of their convocation materials starting from March 20.
