SUG UNIMAID Ministry of Health Begins Campus Food Safety Checks

The Ministry of Health, SUG UNIMAID has commenced campus-wide sanitation inspections of all student restaurants and food vendors starting April 20, 2026. Hon. Minister of Health, Pius Iliya said the operation targets water safety, food preparation hygiene, and dining area cleanliness to curb the spread of cholera and other food-borne diseases. The goal is simple: protect students from preventable illnesses and ensure every meal served on campus is safe.

Minister Pius Iliya stressed that student safety and well-being come first. The Ministry will work with vendors to correct hygiene gaps and promote safer food handling practices.
