Taraba Govt Releases N1.8bn for NECO, BECE, NABTEB Exams

The Taraba State Government has released over N1.8 billion to support students’ registration for NECO, BECE, and NABTEB examinations across the state.

The cheques were presented on Monday in Jalingo by the Commissioner for Secondary, Technical and Vocational Education, Dr. Augustina Godwin, on behalf of Governor Agbu Kefas.

According to the government, N1.61 billion was approved for NECO, N196.8 million for BECE, and N53.8 million for NABTEB.

Dr. Godwin said the intervention is aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and ensuring public school students sit for external examinations without difficulty, in line with the state’s free and compulsory education policy.

Officials of the examination bodies commended the Taraba State Government, describing the support as timely and beneficial to students across the state.
