The honour celebrates Banjo’s tenure and impact as Vice-Chancellor, acknowledging his role in advancing research, education, and administrative growth within the university.
The Festschrift, themed “The Interplay of Recreation, Tourism, Hospitality and Wildlife Resources in Wealth Creation, Hunger Combat and Adequate Nutrition for Healthy Living,” features thirteen thematic research areas reflecting interdisciplinary scholarship in key sectors linked to sustainable development.

Speaking on behalf of the College, the Dean, Taibat Ikotun, described the initiative as a tribute to Banjo’s legacy and enduring influence in the fields of education and research.
The publication brings together contributions from scholars and professionals, highlighting the intersections of tourism, hospitality, and natural resource management as drivers of economic growth, food security, and improved public health outcomes.
