UCH Ibadan Bids Farewell to Retired Medical Laboratory Science Leaders

The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN), University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan Unit, recently organized a send-forth program for two of its esteemed members, Mr. Akeem Adesina Odekanmi and Mr. Iyiola Ismail Olaosun, who have retired from their positions as Director and Deputy Director of Medical Laboratory Services, respectively.

The event, held at the Paul Hendrickse Hall, was attended by hospital management, staff, and members of the AMLSN. Mrs. Odusanya Olubukola, Chairman of AMLSN, UCH Unit, acknowledged the significant contributions of both Mr. Odekanmi and Mr. Olaosun to the Medical Laboratory Science Department and the association.

The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, represented by Prof. Olubukola Adesina, Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee, paid tribute to the retirees, highlighting their dedication, leadership, and commitment to the practice of Medical Laboratory Science. The CMD expressed gratitude for their service and wished them good health, long life, and fulfillment in their retirement.

The retirement of Mr. Odekanmi and Mr. Olaosun marks the end of an era, but their legacy of service, leadership, and commitment to the Medical Laboratory Science Department will continue to inspire future generations of medical laboratory scientists.
