Bayero University Alumni Association Launches ₦500 Billion Endowment Fund

The Bayero University Kano (BUK) Alumni Association has announced plans to launch a ₦500 billion endowment fund to support the university's growth and development. The initiative aims to strengthen the institution's financial base and guarantee opportunities for future generations of students.

The endowment fund will be managed by a Board of Trustees chaired by Professor Attahiru Jega, former INEC Chairman. The association has also announced plans to establish a cooperative society to provide loans and essential commodities at subsidized rates to members of the university community.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Air Vice Marshal Saddik Ismaila Kaita (rtd), has commended the alumni association for its visionary plan, assuring the association of the university's full support in realizing its goals.
