FG, NYSC Partner to Digitise Education Records to Curb Certificate Forgery

The Federal Government is collaborating with the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, to digitise education records as part of efforts to combat fake academic credentials and streamline certificate verification.

The initiative is aimed at expediting the process of confirming academic qualifications and safeguarding genuine graduates from exclusion during national service mobilization and employment.

Officials said the digital system will create a secure, centralized database that enables faster verification of results from tertiary institutions, thereby reducing delays and instances of fraudulent documents.
