Redeemer’s University Awards Full Scholarships to Six Ede Indigenes for 2026/2027 Session
Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, has awarded full scholarships to six indigenes of its host community for the 2026/2027 academic session under its Ede Indigenes Scholarship Programme.
Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, has awarded full scholarships to six indigenes of its host community for the 2026/2027 academic session under its Ede Indigenes Scholarship Programme.
The scholarship is part of the university’s corporate social responsibility initiatives and is awarded based on merit.
The scheme, which was introduced in 2015, has so far provided 53 indigenes of Ede with the opportunity to study at Redeemer’s University without paying tuition and other compulsory fees throughout the normal duration of their programmes.

The six beneficiaries of the scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic session are:
- Temidayo Shammah Adebowale, Computer Science
- Gloria Opemiposi Sanusi, Nursing Science
- Janet Omobolanle Olayanju, Economics
- Aliyah Adesewa Adesola, Nursing Science
- Adeola Anike Adegoroye, Mass Communication
- Joshua Favour Aminu, Computer Engineering
While congratulating the beneficiaries, the Vice-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, said the university remained committed to giving back to its host community through various initiatives, including programmes aimed at promoting intellectual development.
According to him, the university’s commitment to the community is one of the reasons the scholarship programme has continued since its inception in 2015.
