UNIMAID Host North East Zonal NELFUND Student Loan Sensitisation Programme

The University of Maiduguri has announced that it will host the North East Zonal Senate-NELFUND Student Loan Sensitisation Programme on Sunday, 31st August, 2026.

In a circular issued the Office of the Registrar and signed by Zara Umar Ibrahim, Deputy Registrar, Directorate of Senate and Academic Matters, for the Registrar, the University invited all Provosts, Deans, Directors and members of the university community to attend the programme.

According to the notice, the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institution and Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund, in collaboration with the Nigeria Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, is organizing a nationwide student loan sensitisation programme to deepen public awareness and participation in the Federal Government students loan scheme.

The sensitisation held at 9:00am at the Muhammadu Indimi International Learning Centre, University of Maiduguri.

The Management said the programme is aimed at providing information and guidance to stakeholders on the operations, benefits and application process of the Federal Government student loan scheme.
