University of Benin Announces 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise
University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced its Post-UTME and Post-Direct Entry (PUDE) admission screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session, scheduled to take place between Monday, July 27, 2026, and Saturday, August 1, 2026, at designated centres within the Ugbowo Campus.

The institution stated that the screening will be conducted using a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, with candidates expected to prepare adequately for the exercise.
Eligibility Criteria
Only candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2026/2027 UTME or Direct Entry admission, selected the University of Benin as their first choice, and scored 200 and above in UTME are eligible to participate.
Applicants are also required to possess at least five credit passes in GCE O’Level, SSCE, NECO, or equivalent examinations. The credits must include English Language, Mathematics (where required), and three other relevant subjects, obtained in not more than two sittings.
Candidates are advised to have a valid email address before beginning the application process.
Application Period and Procedure
The application portal will be open from 8:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, to midnight of Friday, July 3, 2026.

Read instructions and proceed by clicking “Click/Tap Here to proceed”
Begin application process
Enter JAMB Registration Number, JAMB score, and set a password
Log in using JAMB Registration Number as User ID
Provide required personal and academic information
Make payment via Remita using an ATM-enabled card- Preview and submit application (no corrections allowed after submission)
The application fee is ₦2,000, excluding portal access charges.

Important Instructions to Candidates
Candidates are expected to check the portal from Friday, July 17, 2026, to confirm their specific examination date, venue, and time.
All candidates must be seated at least one hour before their scheduled screening time. Mobile phones and calculators are strictly prohibited at the venue.
Candidates are required to come with their acknowledgement slip and screening invitation slip.
The application portal will close at midnight on Friday, July 3, 2026, and late payments will not be accepted.
The university emphasized that only candidates who complete their application before the deadline will be considered for the screening exercise.
