2026 WAEC 3 Students Make Headlines With 9 A1s and Outstanding UTME Scores

Three Nigerian students have attracted attention after recording outstanding 2026 WASSCE results, including nine A1s, alongside impressive UTME scores of 297 and 307.

Schools and parents are celebrating the outstanding performance of their students/wards in the recently released Computer-Based 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE).

They took to online to announce and celebrate the outstanding WASSCE results produced by the whiz kids and some Nigerians commended the three prodigies for the performance.   

One of the student sparked reactions online after he obtained A1 in nine subjects in the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The student, identified as Nwosu Uchenna Hilary, of Chrisland High School, Abuja, recorded the outstanding result after scoring 297 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

His father, Nwosu Ezenwa Osunbor, shared the result on Facebook, expressing excitement over his son’s performance.

According to the result shared online, Nwosu scored A1 in Economics, Geography, Civic Education, English Language, Further Mathematics, General Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Digital Technologies.

His father could not hide his excitement while announcing the academic feat on social media. He wrote:”My people abeg make una help me see my second son Uchenna Nwosu WAEC !! 9 No be 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 I mean 9 A1…”

The proud father’s post attracted reactions from social media users, with many Nigerians congratulating the student and praising his academic performance.

His father revealed that his son scored 297 in UTME. The combination of a 297 UTME score and nine A1 grades in WASSCE attracted attention online, with many describing the student’s performance as exceptional.

Another whiz kid in public school in Akwa Ibom also attracted attention online after he scored A1 in nine subjects in the recently released CB-WASSCE result.

The student, identified as UduakAbasi Victor Sam, attended Community Comprehensive Secondary School, Towns, Uyo, in Akwa Ibom State.

His outstanding WASSCE result surfaced online alongside messages celebrating his achievement and highlighting the fact that he attended a community secondary school.

According to the result shared online, UduakAbasi obtained A1 in Civic Education, English Language, General Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Physics, Livestock Farming and Agriculture.

The person who shared the result emphasised that the student was not from an expensive private school or a special examination centre,

“This result is not from a private school where students pay N500,000 to one million per term as school fees. The result is not from a special center that students pay almost the same amount to be assisted to pass.

“This result is that of a student from a Community Secondary School located in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

His performance has since attracted attention from social media users, with many praising him for recording nine A1s despite attending a community secondary school.

The third whiz kid, Njoku Victor, a science student, shared his 2026 WAEC result on TikTok alongside his UTME score of 307. The video showing both result screenshots quickly went viral, drawing attention and admiration online.

The video was captioned ‘I know God loves me, Hallelujah!’ and sparked an outpouring of congratulations and prayers from viewers.

The whiz kid revealed that he wants to study Optometry at the Federal University of Technology (FUTO).
