Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has approved a revised policy governing the issuance of students’ academic transcripts, with implementation set to commence from January 2026.

The approval, granted by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eunice O. Omonzije, on behalf of the University Senate, introduces key changes to the format and use of students’ copies of academic transcripts.

Under the new policy, students’ transcripts will now display both scores and corresponding grades, replacing the existing format that reflects grades only. The university also made it mandatory for graduating students to obtain a student’s copy of their academic transcript, aligning the practice with existing requirements for academic certificates.

The university explained that the updated policy is designed to enhance transparency and improve the global acceptability of AAU students’ academic records. It is also intended to meet documentation requirements commonly demanded by foreign universities, professional bodies, and credential evaluation agencies, while providing clearer and more comprehensive academic records for academic and professional applications.

The directive has been approved for prompt implementation and applies to all relevant academic and administrative units of the university. The announcement was formally communicated by the Registrar, Mrs. Oluwayomi O. Agbebaku, and released to the university community and the general public through the Information and Public Relations Division of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
